You would probably want to use the in app browser plugin. You can have it handle the login flow, and then monitor for a token response from your server. I don't advise storing tokens in localStorage (can be cleared by the OS, not secure). You might want to look into the keychain plugin for that purpose.

Also, reading up some ... looks like I need to set up subscriptions so the user can subscribe without registering. Apple also like a subscription scheme that works across devices, so I guess I need a prompt along the lines of if you would like to access on other devices, you need to register, but not require it.
What kind of service are you offering where subscriptions are needed?
Keep in mind that if you're using in-app purchasing of digital goods, it MUST go through Apple (on iOS) -- you can't route through, say, PayPal or the like. Not sure if that's applicable to you or not, though.
