I'm trying to connect Akamai CDN with Flash Media Encoder 3 and I'm getting an error. The same does not happen with 2.5 version. I'm using the same FMS URL, stream and so on. Any help?
It seems like FME 3.0 works with FMS 3.5, which means the CDN's have to update the servers to FMS 3.5. I have also tested with FME 3.0 with Akamai, Limelight, and Edgecast and they all don't connect to the server, but they all did in FME 2.5. I will keep testing and keep checking the CDN's for any updates.
Flash Media Live Encoder 3 works with FMS 3.0 except for the new features that were added in support of FMS 3.5 - specifically support for Dynamic Streaming and DVR functionality.
In the case of certain CDNs, there is additional authentication that takes place and this is what is prohibiting FMLE from working with those providers. We are working closely with the CDNs to help address this issue as quickly as possible.

The Flash Media Live Encoder does not recognize the Sony SNC-RZ25 video IP camera that outputs MPEG4 video. This is because Sony does not support RTSP, SDP or DirectShow.
Does anyone know how to interface the RZ25 camera to the Flash Media Live Encode for live streaming?
FMLE recognizes raw format of Video as input. It does not support MPEG 2 and MPEG4 encoded video inputs.
For an IP camera to work, you need a direct show filter that will enable the camera to be detected as a device in FMLE. Check out with the device manufacturer for the filter.
