Hi all,

Is there way to get current tool selected in tool panel?

ex) Selection Tool, Direct Selection Tool, Magic Wand Tool, .....

I'm still in research about the possibly to get what is the current tool selected in tool panel.

I saw similar code working on Photoshop with crafted ScriptListner code.

I'm still new for app.executeMenuCommand() and checked full list of available(discovered?) options, but it seems not for for this purpose.

Illustrator CC2017 Menu Commands Reference | CC Labo

Currently I think we cannot, but if there's any possibility I'll look into.

I appreciate any info and suggestions.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, You can't get tools using Extendscript.

Only way to do it, You can use Illustrator SDKs sAITool class.

@Ten A, Thank you very much for the pointer. I'll check more SDK docs.
