Acrobat DC: PDF documents won't open after a PDF has been closed

Not sure if it is just me or not.  I subscribe to Creative Cloud and find that if I have had a PDF document open in Acrobat, close the document and then try to open another PDF document it just hangs and I have to go into task manager and physically end the "Acrobat.exe" tasks.  After this I can again open files normally.  This has been happening for a few months, thought it might have disappeared with updates but it hasn't.  Does anyone have any ideas?

5 months on the problem still occurs.  Doesn't happen on PC's that are not running CC subscriptions
