You can move the markers in nested comps as if they were layer markers if necessary.
Yes, I could do that, but that's not an efficient way to work, especially because time remapping values can change.
That would be nearly the equivalent of never using the composition markers in the child at all and just setting layer markers in the parent comp only.
markers are not affected by time remapping. they are affected by time stretch if that do you any good. if you want this feature ask for it: Feature Request/Bug Report Form
BTW, the only update to markers I know is right click on the layer markers and "update markers from source) that will update to the composition markers in the nested comp. if that helps in any way....
