I think I've found a bug in Illustrator. If you create a paragraph style and apply it to text, then copy and paste that text into another document it loses its link to the paragraph style. It looks fine (ie. it looks like the text should look if the paragraph style were applied), but if you amend the paragraph style, the text does not change as it would if it were still linked. The text copies and pastes correctly. The paragraph style copies from file to file just fine. The link between the text and the paragraph style doesn't copy over correctly. Character styles are not affected by this phenomenon, only paragraph styles? Sure wish the Adobe engineers could fix this annoying problem.
