Hello guys,

I'm on a quest to find the best currently available laptop for video editing. As stated, I need it for Premiere pro and After effects respectively.

I've been a bit out of touch on processors and GFX cards lately so I needed some opinions in case I miss something.

The best laptops that I've seen as favourites coming up are:

The Macbook Book Pro.

  • 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 4980HQ
  • 16GB 2133MHz memory
  • Radeon Pro 455 with 2GB memory
  • 512GB PCIe-based SSD1
  • Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • 9 Hour Batt

Razer Blade

  • i7 - 7700HQ
  • Nvidia GTX 1060
  • 16GB (Max)
  • 256GB SSD
  • 5.5 Hour Batt

Dell XPS 15 2017

  • i7 - 7700HQ
  • GTX 1050
  • 16GB (Expandable to 32)
  • 512GB SSD
  • 7 Hours Batt

The Macbook obiously isn't an option because of the Radeon, but I through it in there since it always comes up. But is that it? And also, are there no 6 core i7 laptops yet? I haven't seen any and was hoping there would be by now. My desktop workstation is a i7 4930K, 32GB ram, with an OC GTX 780 Ti and I built that like 3-4 years ago. I guess there isn't a laptop equivalent yet due to cooling limitations is there? Anybody aware of the full spectrum of the market. The most Id be willing to spend is 3K CAD, but realistically I would like to spend 1800-2500 CAD. Thoughts?
