Why are CC apps installed in Creative Cloud Files Folder?

Hello,

of late CreativeCloud – totally un-OS X-like – installs CC apps in the Creative Cloud Files folder instead of the Applications folder designated for this purpose by the OS? The upshot being that all the files get synced back up to the cloud uselessly, wasting bandwidth and cloud-space for nought.

Does someone have any idea on how to change that permanently back to OS X-normal?

Thanks for any hint!

Hi Bikebone,

Sorry for the delay in response, as you have mentioned for some reason all the application are getting installed in Creative Cloud Files folder instead for Applications. It looks like to there is any issue with the default install location under Creative Cloud preference.

Please click on the gear icon on the top right corner, go to "Preference" then "Creative Cloud", then "Apps". You may change the "Install Location" to "Applications" and it should work for you and for the future viewers as well.

Please feel free to update this discussion in case you need further assistance with this.

Thanks.
