swf gets bigger each time I recompile?

I've noticed that each time I save, without adding anything, when I compile, my swf file has gotten a few bytes bigger. In fact, I commented out some code and removed an import and it still got a few bytes bigger than the last save. Is it compiling a history or something into my swf? Is it typical for it to keep getting bigger?

Is this a release build or a debug build? I wouldn't be concerned about the
          size of a debug build.
