My first project with Presenter worked great with one
exception -- when viewed through the web, the slide animation
doesn't wait for the sidebar video to be fully buffered.
I've set Presentation Settings/Quality/Control Preloading to
Download slides completely before playback, but that doesn't seem
to apply to sidebar video. The slide animation will play while the
video is still loading, throwing everything off.
I've tried different video files types (.m4v and .flv),
codecs, and frame rates, but that doesn't help. Once everything is
buffered, it's fine, of course. But that won't help first-time
Does anyone know how to fix this? I also looked through the
xml files but couldn't find an applicable setting to change.
syncing slide animations with videos is, well, challenging.
Now you know why. If the issue is a video buffering, put more
silence in the beginning of the audio for the slide so that the
animation waits longer to play.
Jorma, do you mean add silence to the video? Since the audio
is embedded in that file, I don't see how Presenter will let me
If I could just make Presenter wait until the video is
buffered, or have the playbar pause each time more video buffering
takes place, I'd be thrilled. I've seen other presentations do the
latter. I just can't figure out how.
