Current time indicator disappeared

My CTI disappeared, as did the preview of the Compositions when I reopened it. I am on After Effect CC 2017  version 14.2.0.198 most recent updates are done. Please help

As I already said, I just opened the file and CTI and preview of Composition was gone. I had closed Ae, when I opened it again to work on it these was gone. I see this was an issue prior to one of the 2015 updates, is it an issue again?

Hit the home key.  See if it shows up.  You might have added a layer to the comp that extended beyond the comp's duration, and went to that layer's out point.
