Thank you so much for your response!! So it's kind of working... when I put that script in there then test it out, it still shows the line on two sides even when it's not filled... it also still prints a blank box if it isn't filled. Any tips?

Sorry to be a pain... I'm clearly a rookie at this and I SOO appreciate your help!

It's still printing the boxes even when they aren't filled....  and now it's still showing the faint two lines when it's not filled even when the fields aren't highlighted...
