1. Re: Photography Plan - I can create designs (icons)? with Photoshop
fenjas29325284 May 27, 2017 1:20 AM (in response to Tamara Jxn)You can, but it depends on what the icons are used for.
Nowadays icons are often created and saved as scalable vector graphics (*.svg) for use on web sites and as vector files (for example: *.ai) for print. This is not possible in Photoshop, but in Illustrator.
The photography plan plus 1 single app subscription seems to be a little bit cheaper than the whole package. Or you can try the freeware Inkscape.

2. Re: Photography Plan - I can create designs (icons)? with Photoshop
Tamara Jxn May 27, 2017 2:13 AM (in response to fenjas29325284)Oh, the icons or images (resources, buttons, decorations, wallpapers, backgrounds) will be saved in PNG, JPG or PSD, so there is no problem. I know it's not the best but I do it more for desktop customization, that's why I will not work with vectors. So is not there any problem with this plan creating resources, wallpapers, icons or patterns for me and people? . Thanks for your answer, Fenja.

Theresa J May 27, 2017 8:35 AM (in response to Tamara Jxn)If your icons will be saved in PNG, JPG or PSD then Photoshop is the correct application for the job. You don't need to purchase a different CC plan. If and when your projects require vector, you should use Illustrator instead.

That's crazy. When you save PNG and Jpeg files they will not contain and vector graphics like vectors. But not using vector graphics in your PSD files you save your PNG and Jpeg image file is just making your work harder for you to do. With vector graphics in your PSD you can scale your PSD to any size and resolution you need to save Jpeg and PNG files the scaling will be perfect for the size and resolution.

6. Re: Photography Plan - I can create designs (icons)? with Photoshop
Tamara Jxn May 27, 2017 10:12 AM (in response to JJMack)Yeah, I understand, I know it sounds crazy, well not only do icons ... also wallpapers and some other things for softwares or designs. However what I like most is the customization of android and windows and if I share vectors to customize some of those two mentioned above ... they would not know what to do haha. But I will take everything into account, thank you very much.

Tamara Jxn May 27, 2017 10:18 AM (in response to Theresa J)Thank you! I see you read my question and my first response, well, now I feel calm knowing that there is no problem designing anything as long as they are saved in image format (png, jpg) or psd having the photography plan. The answers are very quick here, good job.
