We just upgraded from RoboHelp 6 to RoboHelp 7.0.2. We
develop WebHelp and HTML Help (CHM files).
Several of our topics include the emdash character. After
generating the WebHelp and publishing it to our Apache web servers,
we noticed that the HTML code for the emdash character
(&emdash;) is appearing in help topics in place of the
character. This is true when viewed in IE and Mozilla.
The CHM file for the same help project also shows the HTML
code for the emdash character in all instances. This was viewed
from my local system.
Note that the emdash character appears fine within the
project and when the help files are viewed from the Windows
