    Managing AIR Installation Parameters

I am able to install my AIR application on my machine because I have write privileges to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder in which the shortcut to the application is placed – I am an administrator on my development machine. However, when my customer installs the application they must get an administrator to perform the installation because, by default, they do not have write access the ‘All Users’ directory.

Does anyone know how I can customize the install process to add the shortcut to the logged-on user’s Documents and Settings folder where write privileges are in place.

This problem also applies to the desktop – All Users vs. the individual’s desktop.

The programMenuFolder option of the application descriptor files lets you place the shortcut in a folder in the ‘Programs’ folder but it will still go into ‘All Users’
