    Unable to Validate Configuration

    Jim Daniel Level 1
Using MAMP I was able to get both the Apache & MySAL servers running. Ports were set to default values of 80 & 3306. When I ran netstat -na | grep 80 I got a return information. When I attempt to create a PHP Flex application I get an error message when I attempt to Validate Configuration.

      The Web root: /users/JimDaniel/Lawn Cats/KityCats
      The Root URL: http://localhost/KityCatSite

The folder KityCatSite is in the /Documents/Apache folder and can be seen by my browser when I enter the Root URL. The KityCats folder also already exits. Whats going on here and can anyone help?

      P.S. I'm runing OSX 10.5.5

I'm having the same issue and can only get it to validate when I use the following settings:
          root folder: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs
          root URL: http://localhost:80/
I'm still checking this so if anything turns up, I'll let you know.

I run Windows, but you may find this helpful

              LuigiL,

Thanks for the help, that solved the problem once I changed the MAMP Apache Document Root to match. Other than having to give the port number with the localhost I'm thinking that the Root Folder setting in Flex Builder needs to match the Apache Document Folder setting in MAMP.

I've tested several things but I just can't get it to work with other settings. I'm not using this feature of FB3 (all backend work is done with other frameworks) so I'm not investing a lot of time in solving this - if possible - but if something turns up, I'll post the result. In the meantime I've also asked a specialist to look into this so maybe he finds out what is going on.
