Unable to edit in a photo from LR CC to Elements 14

When I edit in a photo from LR CC o Elements 14, the photo does not pop up in Elements, but evidently passes through Elements back into LR showing up as an edited copy. I believe that my external editor is set up correctly. I talked with an adobe technician yesterday who took over my computer but could not find the problem. He suggested that I re-install Elements. I re-installed Elements  but it did not solve the problem. I can edit in a photo from LR to Photoshop without any problems.  I am on a widows operating system. Thanks for your help.

You have re-installed Elements, but have you added Elements to the "Additional External Editors" list in preferences ?

It is important that you add the 'Editor' component of Elements, and not the 'Title Interface' (if I can call it that?)
