You need a machine with 512MB (or less) of RAM

No - it will run on XP, but the machine needs 512MB or less of RAM
90109: A reply message for help with Director7 on our Toshiba
We recently purchased a refurbished TOSHIBA computer with
Window XP. It has a 2GB RAM.
When we try to run Director7 we get the message:
"Director needs at least 10MB of free memory to run"
You tell us that it needs 512K or less.
Do you know what the problem is?
How can we "trick" it to make it work?
Thank you very much,
I suppose you could trick it by removing some of your RAM. Or by
getting a slightly more modern version of Director that will work with
the amount of RAM you have. Or find an old computer with the requisite
RAM and use it instead. Or use some sort of virtualization, like VMWare
