I'm trying to upload a certificate to Phonegap build, but it keeps saying that I have the wrong password.
In the powershell (ran as admin) I enter this:
New-SelfSignedCertificate -Type Custom -Subject "CN=Destruantes, O=Orion Soft, C=SE" -KeyUsage DigitalSignature -FriendlyName "Destruantes" -CertStoreLocation "Cert:\LocalMachine\My"
It outputs this:
Thumbprint Subject ---------- ------- 0702327B5677A38A9892A08B62B9A4220583C54D CN=Destruantes, O=Orion Soft, C=SE
I then enter:
$pwd = ConvertTo-SecureString -String "Test123" -Force -AsPlainText Export-PfxCertificate -cert "Cert:\LocalMachine\My\0702327B5677A38A9892A08B62B9A4220583C54D" -FilePath C:\www\sqm\testcert.pfx -Password $pwd
And get this:
Mode LastWriteTime Length Name ---- ------------- ------ ---- -a---- 2017-06-03 14:04 2685 testcert.pfx
Along with a file called testcert.pfx
Next, I upload my certificate in phonegap build.
I unlock it using the password I specified, "Test123".
And then I rebuild my app, and get the following error:
"Error - Your Windows Signing Key password is incorrect. You can try another password by locking it and unlocking it again"
How can I get this to work?
Why does it say that the password is wrong?
Do I need some other password?
If so, how do I get it?
Ok -- when you supply the password to PGB are you using quotes or not? I'm not very familiar with the Windows side, but maybe the password passed to ConvertTo-SecureString is literally "Test123" (including quotes)? Or, if you're trying to use the quotes, try without.
Thanks, I'll give it a try as soon as I get home
