I have recently installed photoshop cc on a old macbook (all operating systems are up to date) and for some reason the light room that I have on the mac is like a brand new program. I do not have any of my folders or presets that I have saved to my other computer.
Is there a way to get Lightroom to sync the pictures and settings from the windows computer to the apple? This is not a mobile device..
There is no "sync" method within Lightroom. Presets are neither part of, nor contained in the Catalog (.LRCAT) file. They can be found in different locations depending on options in the Lr preferences.(Global, or with the catalog)

You can use the operating system to copy the folder that contains the Presets and paste them into the other computer.

Syncing the pictures is another entire topic- and you will find the most common answer is to place the picture original files on an external drive that can be plugged into either computer, and then there is no 'moving' or 'syncing' involved. Placing the Catalog on the external drive with the image files is often suggested, which avoids having to 'sync' catalogs. Any external drive that is moved between Mac and PC will need a file system compatible to both.
