For some reason, my Lightroom has all of a sudden decided to permanently display a secondary display window, even though I haven't got (and never had) a second monitor connected.
No matter what I try, I can't seem to get this window to close. I have tried clicking the red cross in the top right hand corner of the window, it closes it for about 2 seconds, then the window reappears. I have tried hitting F11 on my keyboard. I have tried clicking on the first and secondary screen options in the bottom left corner above the filmstrip. Nothing seems to get rid of this window.
What makes this worse is that my PC (acer aspire C2 2-760) can't seem to handle having a secondary window option. Lightroom becomes super slow and unresponsive, and is almost permanently frozen.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom, and this hasnt helped.
I'm out of options, I don't know what else to try, could someone please help?
A LR uninstall and reinstall does not remove the old Preferences file. Try resetting the LR Preferences file as outlined at the below link. It may be corrupted and causing the issue.
