    Cant use Develop Module

When I try to use Develop in LR it says file not found and all my presets and develop menu is light gray. My pictures are showing up in the Library. How do I fix this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled LR but did not help.

When you import photos to Lightroom, the photos stay in their original location, but Lightroom records their location, and expects to find them there. In the import process, previews are made for the Library module (all the work you do in Lightroom is done with previews), but the Develop module creates its own previews on the fly, and this requires access to the originals.

So if you have moved, renamed or deleted the originals, or if they are located on an external drive that is not connected, you get the File not found error message.

Most likely, you have exclamation marks in the top right corner of the thumbnails in Library. Clicking on an exclamation mark allows you to point Lightroom to the new location of the image.

If the whole folder is missing (question mark on the folder), right click the folder, and point Lightroom to the correct location.

Thank you so much. That was the problem. I can't believe I missed seeing that and assumed there was a more serious problem.
