This can be done by a script.
Here's a script I wrote for a similar situation. It's not clear to me if you have the whole URL, or only text like A123456 in your file. If the latter, you probably have a sort of 'database' file -- txt/csv/Excel/Access/etc. -- mapping names to URLs. In this case, this script may come in handy to you.
