With the limited information provided above it is not easy to provide suggestions that could help better. Would you let us know what is happening when you are trying to open a file? Are you getting any error message? Are you using Acrobat or Reader to open a file?
If you open the same file in Google Chrome or Firefox are you experiencing the same issue. Are those files stored locally?
