The following issue was highlighted to me by a Photoshop user outside this forum.
Since this week's update , some - not all - users are experiencing an issue with the Color Profile selected in the New Document Dialogue.
Adobe are aware and are on the case.
For those affected :
The Color Profile selected in the New Document Dialogue is being ignored and the document being is created untagged, or the profile of the recent/template document that you based your new document on is being used. This can be seen in the example below comparing the profile set in New Document and the actual Profile of the created document.:

If you spot this and are one of those affected, as I am, you can of course convert to the required color space before working on the document.
Like I said, Adobe staff are now aware of this issue .
