    ADE stops responding

      When I download an ebook from my library, I get a file in acsm format.  I click on that file and ADE starts and begins to process the file and sometimes I get the required book in EPUB format which I can then transfer to my ereader.  Unfortunately, more often than not ADE appears to process the book, but stops responding when the progress bar reaches the right side.  The only thing I can do then is have Windows 10 close the program.  If I start it again, the book does not appear to be there although it does appear in the My Digital Editions folder.  I have tried unsuccessfully to use that. It appears to happen only with newer ebooks and the ones that it works with are a few years old.  Any solution to this problem?
