after effects c4d importer error

Hi guys. I have a problem with after effects cc 2017 when i import a c4d file. Exemple Sparta.aec.

I have tried to update the c4d importer but nothing changed.

The message says: "After effects- Error: Ipmpssible to import the file 'sparta' because it's not a recognized file"

Pls help me guys D:

Are you getting your importer from the latest C4d install?

you can find it here on mac

/Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R18/Exchange Plugins/aftereffects/Importer/OSX/CS_CC

not sure about pc but I'm sure it's similar.

There is no need to use the C4D importer plugin as you can import the native c4d files directly into After Effects and access to multipass using Cineware.
