Hi!

Everything was working fine but then I guess I changed the password to Adobe, next thing all credentials for FTP upload disappeared.

The site is hosted at awardspace an it's working, I just can't update it!

When I enter the credentials, it doesn't work. I assume the credentials are fine (otherwise muse would say "ftp not found")

can anyone help?? Translation: "Server not responding in time, FTP may not be supported on this server"

Thanks.

I know two reasons for this problem.

1) You enter the wrong data for the FTP connection.

2) The server can and in fact is not available - technical work is in progress or a failure. This is not unusual.

It is possible, that when you changes some server settings, Muse doesn`t know that there has something changed and could not "tell" you there´s something changed. Therefor you couldn`t update without loosing edits, made by IBE.

Is it this what you face?

Maybe the same happens, when you change Adobe Password.

I'm a total noob... I would not know how to change server settings to start with... 😞

The website is working on that server (I suppose it's that one), but I get this weird message and don't know what I'm supposed to do now...

thank you all for your answers! I think that it was just the server that was not available!

I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago. I spend so much time back and forth with IT and our webhost, like 2 weeks of pulling my hair out. Everyone said it was someone else's problem and I was using the exact same credentials as before and could NOT upload. It ended up being that I had to specify the right port at the end of my Site URL. I don't know why it changed but I can finally upload changes.

I ended up specifying port :22 at the end of my site URL in the upload box so

www.yoursitename.com:22

and selecting SFTP upload vs FTP (oops I was using FTP and got my hands slapped)

Good luck!
