Zoom Level changes the data that is displayed

I have a PDF document that was created as a report with Microsoft report builder and then saved as PDF.  This is a report that has a set of columns each with a total at the bottom of the column.

When viewing the document, if I zoom to approx 75%, one of the column totals changes to a completely different value. At most zoom levels, that column total shows the correct value. This one particular column total is the only thing on the page that changes.

When viewing this document in the MS report viewer, the value stays the same even when zooming in and out, so the behavior is only in the PDF.

My client reported this to me and I thought she must have been just getting confused. But then I opened the document myself and I experienced the same thing.  I checked the report definition and confirmed that only one value is being entered the field in question. I also saved the report as an excel spreadsheet and a word document, to see if the phantom value appears anywhere in those formats and it does not. Only the proper value shows up in those formats.

Does anyone have any idea about what could cause a data element on the page to change when going from one zoom level to another?

Thanks
