Composition window blanking out?

Hey, so my composition window keeps going gray on and i am not sure why. It will show up for a second but then as i click on things it disappears but my shape layers are still selected. I'm attaching a screenshot, hoping someone can explain why this is happening.

Update your graphics driver and check your settings for Fast Draft and al lthat good stuff.
