Creative Cloud Lightroom kepps crashing!

Every time I go into Lightroom via the Creative Cloud app, it crashes with the message in a box "Adobe Lightroom has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". This seems to happen mostly (but not always) when in Library and going to Develop mode. It is very frustrating and makes the Creative Cloud subscription a waste of money. I am a new user of Lightroom, but the issue has stopped my development with the tool. I have tried the resetting preferences, but OK for a short while and then fails again. Help!!

Disabling the GPU will probably fix the issue.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance, and uncheck Use graphics processor.

Updating your graphics driver may allow to work with the GPU enabled.

If you have an AMD graphics card, see LR crashes Win10 after Creators update
