Running Windows environment

I have a user who placed the output/exported files from robohelp to shared mapped folder.

The issue is that he would like to protect the folders and allow the users to run the webpage only.

I have tried to do some tinkering on the NTFS permission of the folder. But after denying read and execute permission.

the html stopped working. Any advise how we can protect the folder without hindering the access of the html webpages.

I know normally to solve this problem we can host it in IIS or FTP server. But i would an advise from anyone who has good expertise on this matter.

Thank you.

Wow - I've been in forums for more than  20 years and I think this is the first time I've ever seen a request to secure files on an internal network!

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions on how to solve it. I was just astonished at the request.

I am, however, befuddled at the mention of "running the webpage only". Hopefully you are aware that with any of the web based outputs, there is far more than a single web page involved.

Cheers... Rick

Why would you deny "Read & Execute"? - if anything, that should be the only permission set on in the folder to stop anyone from tampering with it.
