Hello there -
You may find what you need here: Where is Adobe Fireworks CC?
I have had to uninstall Fireworks once, but when I added it back in from the Desktop Manager, it installed and worked fine.
What OS are you using?
I've managed to uninstall it and then re-install it (via the Desktop Manager). Unfortunately I'm getting the exact same error as before.
I'm really at a loss what to do with it now.
Ok, let's give this another approach:
Let us know if the direct installers will work for you. I did a test run on one of my older laptops and got a successful run.
I don't see a link for "direct installers" on the link you provided. I do see a link for a " Windows updater" however.
Is this what you meant and if so do I reinstall the software and run the updater, in that sequence?
My apologies for the delayed response (mini-vacation)... If you're on Windows, I would recommend:
- Going to your Start > Programs and Features, and locating Adobe Fireworks on the Installed Applications list; if it appears, check to see if a Repair Application option is available.
- Restart your PC, and try to run Fw. If you're still seeing the error, try logging out of Creative Cloud Desktop app completely and logging back in.
- Still seeing the error? Try the Windows Updater for CS6 ( be sure to close all other Adobe CC Apps first).
I will check back shortly to see how this is progressing for you - hopefully, you'll be up and running!
Thanks for your efforts but that's not worked either. Because of tight work schedules I've had to switch to Affinity Photo/Designer to meet my commitments. When I get the chance I'll have a look at it again but for now I'll have to use the aforementioned alternatives.
I am all of a sudden getting this very same error. Can I get some assistance in solving? I have tried re-installing CS6 and this did not fix the problem. I am running Windows 10, and the software worked until yesterday.
Hey John -
Have you had any luck with the reinstall? I am running Fireworks CS6 on a Win 10 PC and my MacBook Pro, so they haven't rendered it EOL (end of life) yet...
