Alt+Shift no longer working in Photoshop - help?

      Hi there,

In the last 2 weeks I have found that when scaling a layer in photoshop, I am no longer able to scale from the centre whilst also keeping the object ratio the same. If I use shift, the layer scales from the opposite corner point and retains it's form, but as soon as I use alt too the layer scales from the centre anchor point but distorts.

So I am currently having to scale up, and then move the layer into the centre by eye.

If anyone can please help with this it would be amazing as it is really slowing down my work flow!

      Many thanks
