LR 5.7 does not recognize the RAW (CR2) files from my new Canon EOS 5Ds.

LR 5.7 does not recognize the RAW (CR2) files from my new Canon EOS 5Ds. This is the first of 3 previous Canon DSLR cameras that LR does not recognize. So what can the problem be with the 5Ds RAW files or LR 5.7?

You need to upgrade (purchase) Lightroom 6 or Lightroom CC 2015 (or later versions).

Or you can use the free Adobe DNG Converter version 9.0 or later to convert your RAWs to DNG and then import the DNGs into LR 5.7

Thank you for the answer. That means LR 5.7 was waist of money. Today I get the RAW files in to Camera Raw/Photoshop Elements 14. But it is not the best solution.
That means I have to look for another RAW converter. And it will NOT be Adobe anymore.   😞

When did you buy it? It came out in 2013 so you've had a good few years of use.

To me, software that lasts more than a couple of years is good value.
