I have a pretty clear picture of the differences between the programs. However I haven't found answers to the following very basic questions:
1. Let's say I have an MPEG video clip and I want to incorporate it into an animation. For example, I create an animated character who has a conversation with a celebrity or something like that. Can either program do that? Can I incorporate video clips into animation timelines I create with Animate? What about AfterEffects?
2. Does Adobe Character Animator work with Adobe Animate? (I know it's part of After Effects, but it's such a cool tool that I hope it works with both programs.)
1. Both could do it.
2. Character Animator is not very integrated with AE or Animate, but it is much more fun to animate in than either of the other two.
Character Animator is the most fun piece of software Adobe makes.
Thank you Szalam. I want to create 2D animations that incorporate news and movie footage & I'm trying to decide which one to study... I think I'll go with Animate... I appreciate the insights bro.
