My printer doubles my Booklets to 4 pages instead of 2 per A4

I am having a problem where my print output is doubled in Word i can create 2 pages per sheet as booklets but when i try to print off the same from a pdf it prints 4 pages per A4 sheet. can anyone be generous enoughto help me out please

Sorry for the delay in response.

As per the issue description mentioned above, when trying to print pdf in booklet, it prints 4 pages per sheet instead of 2, is that correct?

Try troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

Launch Reader/Acrobat>click File>Print>under Page size & Handling, click Booklet and try printing again.

Which application you are using to print pdf- Reader/Acrobat?
