Hi, I have Photoshop CS6 and I just want to be sure it's as up to date as possible. I have Version 13.0.6. From what I can tell online there may be newer updates of CS6 available, but only for people who have a CC subscription? I don't really get that... If you had a CC subscription, you would be using Photoshop CC, not CS6... right? Anyway, I do not have any kind of subscription, I paid for CS6 up front when I bought it a few years ago. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer my question!
Yes, 13.0.6 is the final Mac version for perpetual licenses (like you).
CC versions came along after Cloud subscriptions began. Subscriptions really began with CS5.1 (12.1). Cloud membership later began with 13.1 (CS6.1).
Today, Photoshop CC 2017 is known as Photoshop 18.0.
