Creating my own guide lines in a document

    ladyinblack1964 Level 1

I figure there must be an easy answer to this one, but I can't figure it out.

I'm working with a template from Blurb, to make a photo book. They provide the trim lines. However, I'd prefer to have a second set of trim/guide lines on my template, just so I'm playing it safer in terms of not having any photos cut off from the final product.

I've tried dragging lines from the ruler into place but it's proving to be troublesome. I'd like to have turquoise lines on all four sides of each page in the double spread (see attached photo), 3/8" in from the magenta margin.

Can anyone please help? Thanks very much.
