    Problems getting photoshop to fully open.

      When I open Photoshop it looks like it is going to pen but never gets to the page where you can choose recent things that you have been working on. Instead it goes to the work area. From there I tried to open a file but couldn't. Looking closer at the empty work space this code is on the top of the work

      space where the project should be. Any ideas?

            Windows 10, CC 2017, no error messages other than the usual "one or more of your plugins are not available" and I know what plugin that is and it has been that way for a while but has never stopped the process before. , trying to open Photoshop, Screenshot.jpg

            Alienware 17, intel core i7 240 GHs, 16mb ram

            I believe this had something to do with the last update. Everything was working fine up to that point. This is the first time since that update that I have tried to open the program. I would rather not have to reinstall as I have a very slow ( tops 5 mb ) internet connection. Thanks for the help.

              try starting ps with the shift pressed and skip loading plugins

                Skipped plugins and got the same result. Looks like I am going to have to reinstall. I hope someone comes up with another way.

                  I went into the Preference setting and under General I unchecked the Start Window option. Now I can open and work but my start window is of course missing.

                    Have you tried re-installing Photoshop.  You seem to have and installation problem.
