I am making a 2 page document accessible to hearing impaired. It contains several figures that need alt text to explain the figures. I added alt text for each figure and the alt text is read by the speaker in the read out loud mode. However, the actual text in the figure is also read out loud and makes no sense (which is why I added alt text). How do I get it to read only the alt text for the figures and not also read the actual words haphazardly after reading the alt text. Thanks for any suggestions.
