Premiere Pro CS6 won't start - After the opening splash screen, it just keeps showing that start up splash page for as long as you leave it. My laptop is the following specs: MacBook Pro 17-inch, Late 2011, Processor  2.5 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory  6 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, Graphics  AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB, Serial Number  C02HP01EDW48, Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

I would be grateful if i get refined feedback. Thank you

Thank you.

I had it fixed already.

All i did was to move the importerQuicktimebundle and ExporterQuicktimeBundle to the desktop.

So i tried opening Premiere pro and it opened but i observed when i was about importing any file it wouldn't import or even export a movie.

So i returned it to the original folder and it worked....my premiere pro has been fine.

Thank you for your help.

Have you tried running the app as Admin, or doing a clean reinstall?

Hi ReaganO,

I am sorry that you are not able to use Premiere Pro on your MacBook.

I would suggest you to try these steps:

  • Close All Adobe applications in Activity Monitor.
  • Double click on blank desktop screen first.
  • Now on top left corner of the screen (near Apple Icon), click on Go > Go to Folder.

Location 1: In the box type ~/Library/Application Support.

Location 2: In the box type ~/Library/Preferences.

Location 3: Documents folder.

In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'

Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.

Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks,
Kulpreet Singh
