Hi, Canon lens corrections data on camera are recognized by ACR? I shoot on RAW files with Lens Correction Peripheral illumin and Chromatic aberration enabled on the camera, there is no information from Canon if that data are registered on raw files or only on jpg. I am using a EOS 80D and wondering if ACR recognize lens correction on data all ready applied on camera and i am over correcting when in ACR Lens Corrections menu I applied "Remove Chromatic aberration" and "Enable Profile Corrections".
Canon lens correction data is not written into Canon raw files, at least not in a way that Adobe software can interpret/apply it. So you are safe to apply external lens corrections on Canon raw files in ACR, which correct for geometric distortion and vignetting (peripheral illumination). The Remove Chromatic Aberration feature in ACR is computed on the image, so you are safe there as well.

The data is written into the Canon raw file but (to my knowledge) only Canon's DPP software can read it and then adjust the image. Adobe software is not able to do this.
