I designed a watermark in Illustrator at 80% opacity and saved it as a .PNG file and selected it as my watermark in LR. LR seems to want to lower the opacity on it a the default setting in the watermark panel, though i designed it in Illustrator the way I want it. The default setting makes it more transparent, so I raise the opacity to 100% which I thought would make it look the way I intended when it was exported from Illustrator, though at 100% it is fully visible, just as you would expect a setting of 100% opacity to appear.
How is transparency from AI to LR handled with Lightroom? How do I get LR to display my graphic the way i intend it to look?
I do not know the 'why' to your question (I do not use Ai)
Can you just design the png at 100% opacity in Ai, and then set the required opacity in Lightroom.
I do understand that Lightroom cannot edit (develop) PNG image files as Lr does not 'understand' transparency. So maybe the pixels with data in the image from Ai have to be interpreted as 100% by Lr.
