Photoshop and Illustrator dont work together, help?

Hi, I´m sorry my english, I´m from Brazil and can´t speak with no one in Adobe, never!
Please someone can help me? I can´t open the Illustrator and Photoshop together, I need to make a background for exemple, take the vector from Illustrator and pass to Photoshop and this doesn´t work, why? I always do this way and now I can´t. Illustrator send me a message:

A problem made the program close and I can´t work...

Any one can tell me what to do to fix it?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
