Update Lightroom 5 to version 5.5 Help

Hi! I got Lightroom 5 a year ago.  It's the actual disc, not the downloadable version.  I have a Samsung NX 3000, which shoots with SRW files.  Lightroom 5 cannot open SRW files, but version 5.5 can.  Since I have the actual disc, and not the downloadable version, how can I update my current version to the newest version without having to purchase Lightroom 6?  I've chatted with agents for hours now, and they said the experts on here could help me, if I post my question here.  I'd really like to be able to edit my photos, so any help would be awesome, thanks!!!

The final version of LR5 was v5.7.1
