Unable To Install Dreamweaver CS4 Trial

    beian_smith
I downloaded Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 30 day trial and was interested in trying it out and to compare it to other similar software. Unfortunately when I try to install, it installs kuler, anchor service and everything else fine apart from Dreamweaver.
It fails and I click more info and it says "Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 : Fatal Error Occured During Installation Error 1603" (or something similar to that but definately fatal 1603).
I searched this forum and many others and went on every google link up to page 5 and tried all the posted solutions but none of them worked. I made a log and found where it was going wrong (I think) but i don't know what any of it mean so have put it below.

MSI (s) (F4:98) [13:27:07:562]: Error in rollback skipped. Return: 5
MSI (s) (F4:98) [13:27:07:578]: No System Restore sequence number for this installation.
      MSI (s) (F4:98) [13:27:07:578]: Unlocking Server
MSI (s) (F4:98) [13:27:07:968]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Deleting UpdateStarted property. Its current value is '1'.
Action ended 13:27:07: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.
Action ended 13:27:07: INSTALL. Return value 3.
      Property(S): AdobeCode = {289C46A2-F2F7-4887-A8DA-5CB1AB65754D}
      Property(S): ProductName = Adobe Dreamweaver CS4

This is part of the log. I would post it all but it is about 20mb. If i posted the wrong part of the log, I shall upload the full log somehow (any suggentions would be great).

      Please help. Thanks.

If you're using an Acer computer, there's a known conflict between
Dreamweaver and Acer eDataSecurity Management V3.0. You can find a patch
            here:

No, I have an IBM. Thanks for the suggention though. Dreamweaver used to work until I did a system restore of my computer.

Does anyone understand this log??? I read somewhere that the problem could be solved by posting your log on a forum and people could analyze to problem from there because 1603 is a general error and could mean many things. Thanks to any more contributers who would like to help me.

I've just been on Google and it says this could be beacause of my specs. I definately have enough though. (2GB ram 3GHZ processor, 20GB free Hard Drive space).

I think I know the problem but not how to solve it:

The bit that I think is causing the problem is the MainEngineThread because it says "MainEngineThread is returning 1603"

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

                  Thanks
