Project with 21 comps. Spent around a week on it. Everything was fine, working exactly as it should. No crashes or anything that would appear to cause corruption. I've output content without any issue, with my latest output immediately before quitting a couple of days ago.
Today when I opened it, however, some comps were displaying as usual but random comps would show only a checkerboard. The progress bar shows that it is rendering something, but it does not display anything. I can change resolutions to force a redraw, but still I get a checkerboard.
The settings for all the comps are absolutely identical and this is not a wireframe issue.
Do I need to wipe the plst or something?
More testing – Copied content into new comp. Same result. Nothing set to shy. The affected comps render properly. They just don't display.
That's odd. Something changed between it working and not working. We just need to figure out what it was! I would suspect a driver update for your GPUs or an OS update. If you have Windows 10, it probably did it without telling you or asking you at all. Windows 10 is frisky like that! What hardware do you have? What OS? What is the exact version number of AE you're using? If it's not 11.0.4, you should consider updating so you have all of CS6's bug fixes.
Sorry for this issue. Did you ever find a solution? Please let us know if you have or if you still need help.
