Digital Editions bottom menu missing

I just installed Digital Editions on my mac computer, and the bottom menu is missing.

This is where you should be able to scroll from page to page.

Also, is there a way to view two consecutive pages simultaneously?

Which menu points exactly?
Has you the issue only with one ebook or with diffent ebooks?
