Hi,

If you want you can mail me the file at amaarora@adobe.com so that i can try as well(and recover if possible).

Otherwise, there are some software s that can help you recover your corrupt documents and you can try those.

Have you tried restarting your computer? (Try this first.)

Have you tried restoring your InDesign preferences? Here's how:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

Hi,

As Steve said above, can you delete both your cache and preferences?

Yes, I deleted the cache files and the preferences. No difference unfortunately.

I think the problem comes with one InDesign file in particular, which probably got damaged by the first crash.

The first crash occured while exporting it to PDF. From then on it wasn't possible to open any other InDesign file without crashing the whole program.
We tried it on serveral computers. If you restart the Computer, everything works fine until you open that specific file. Then InDesign is just constantly crashing with any file you'd like to open.

Unfortunately this specific file is important.
Might there be any other idea what could work to keep InDesign from crashing?

Thank you a lot.

See if you can successfully save the possibly corrupted INDD file as an IDML file.

Unfortunately InDesign Crashes before the file is completely loaded, so I'm unable to even open any file.
